Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has signed on as a contingency sponsor for the 2008 Sports Car Club of America Solo National Tour.
The contingency is for cars using Toyo’s new Proxes R1R "extreme performance" tire, say Toyo officials.
"The Solo National Tour is travelling autocross series which provides an opportunity for racers to compete on a national level within their geographical area."
Toyo expects an average of 275 drivers to compete per event starting next month.
The tour's championship will be held in September.
