Titan International Inc. has built its first 63-inch radial OTR tire, a prototype produced at Titan's Bryan, Ohio, plant. Titan also has filed for a patent on the tire's construction, which company officials claim yields 20% to 30% gains in tread life.
Titan says its 63-inch tires should start shipping in the next 60 to 90 days.
Last April, Titan announced plans to manufacture 57- and 63-inch radial OTR tires.
