American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has named James Hardymon to its board of directors. He replaces Alain Redheuil, who has resigned.

Redheuil, who became a director following the acquisition of ATD by Investcorp S.A., resigned "due to time constraints," say ATD officials.

Hardymon is the retired chairman and CEO of Textron Inc. and is a member if Investcorp International Inc.'s advisory board.
