Summit Tire of Mass., in conjunction with Continental Tire North America Inc., has signed Boston Red Sox ballplayer Manny Ramirez to a promotional contract for American Car Care Centers Inc. (ACCC) in New England.

The deal is for the rest of the 2008 baseball season. Ramirez will appear in a radio campaign to promote safe driving.

ACCC has 48 locations throughout New England.
