Hankook offers UHP mileage, road hazard coverage

Hankook Tire America Corp. now offers both mileage and road hazard warranty coverage on several of its ultra-high performance tires.

Covered tires include models of Hankook's Ventus product purchased on or after July 1.

Specifically, the Ventus V4 ES H105 and Ventus ST RH06 now come with a 50,000-mile limited warranty. The Ventus AS RH07 comes with a 65,000-mile warranty.

"The existing road hazard warranty featured on these products will remain intact," say Hankook officials. "If unserviceable, the tire will be replaced during the first 25% of tread life."

Bill Bainbridge, Hankook's director of brand communications, says the warranties are timely "because in today's difficult economic climate, consumers are demanding more product value and greater longevity."
