BFS stores get new light truck/SUV tire

Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) Inc.'s new Lemans HT light truck and SUV tire is now available at all Firestone Tire & Service Centers and Expert Tire stores throughout the country. (See Jan. 31, 2001 news item.)

The 70- and 75-series tire will target "price-conscious customers," according to BFS officials. It features an open shoulder design for improved wet traction, a polyester body cord to ensure smooth rides and a computer-optimized tread design to promote extended wear, they report.

The Lemans HT is available in seven sizes, with two more on the way in July.
