Cooper announces price increases

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has joined the ranks of tire manufacturers hiking tire prices this summer.

The Findlay, Ohio-based company is boosting prices "on various lines" up to 2% to 5% on July 1. Increases will effect "all customers and all channels," according to a Cooper spokesperson.

Bridgestone/Firestone Inc., Continental Tire North America Inc., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Michelin North America Inc. and Pirelli Tire North America Inc. all have announced price increases over the past two weeks.
