Michelin snags J.D. Power OE honors

The Michelin brand has taken first place in J.D. Power and Associates' 2001 Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study.

Several weeks ago, the brand received top honors in J.D. Powers' passenger and light truck replacement categories.

The Michelin label has amassed 29 J.D. Powers and Associates awards since 1989, according to an official statement from the French tiremaker.

J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information services firm operating in key business sectors including market research, forecasting and customer satisfaction.

Its 2001 OE Tire Customer Satisfaction survey went out to 39,000 vehicle owners and lessees.
