Firestone Launches UHP Summer Tire

Bridgestone Americas Inc. announced the debut of the Firestone Firehawk INDY 500 V2 tire, which features a new tread pattern with Bridgestone’s ENLITEN technology and extra features.

The new ultra-high performance summer tire adds enhancements to the first Firehawk INDY 500 and comes out in celebration of Firestone’s 125th anniversary, Bridgestone officials say.

Available in 65 sizes, the tire is “engineered to fit sports cars and sedans with wheel sizes ranging from 16 to 20 inches. Top fitments include Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Charger/Challenger, Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata and Nissan 350Z/370Z.”

Key benefits of the Firehawk INDY 500 V2 tire include responsive steering, long-lasting wear with “a multi-round tread block and refined tread pattern” and enhanced wet performance.

This is the first Firestone UHP summer tire introduced with Bridgestone’s ENLITEN technology, and Bridgestone officials say it also features rolling resistance technology for optimized fuel efficiency.
