Is there a job shortage in the tire industry?

April 9, 2012

Unemployment in the United States is still too high, but has been on its way down of late. Is it a problem in the tire industry?

Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich doesn't think so. "It appears to me that our unemployment rate is lower in comparison," he says.

That is particularly true of independent tire dealers, at least in Ulrich's eyes. How many of you are eliminating positions or letting technicians go? It appears to be the opposite.
