Dec. 4, 2012

Universal Lubricants has appointed Jan Robert Horsfall to the position of Chief Marketing Officer.

Horsfall is an experienced entrepreneur and skilled marketing strategist, and will be responsible for leading the company’s branding efforts. Horsfall will optimize consumer and partnership initiatives and promote a growth-focused culture throughout the company

Universal Lubricants says it is one of only a few American manufacturers and distributors that collects, re-refines, blends and redistributes its own motor oil. This includes the ECO ULTRA line of high performance lubricants.

“Jan is a proven leader with a track record of building brands and a passion for new technology,” says Universal Lubricants CEO John Wesley.

“With more than 20 years of experience and a deep understanding of how to take new ideas to market, Jan brings a valuable new perspective to promoting our game-changing re-refining technology and our marquee product line, ECO ULTRA.”

“The consumer, environmental, and geo-political benefits of converting used oil into a renewable resource are limitless, presenting incredible opportunities for growth,” says Horsfall. “My goal is to use my experiences with other innovative companies to help Universal Lubricants strengthen relationships with business partners and effectively communicate the benefits of our products and services to consumers.”

Universal Lubricants recently won a new packaging award (AAPEX, Day Four: Universal Lubricants has it in the bag) for its ECO ULTRA at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2012.
