ContiTech wants to increase belt presence

July 4, 2009

ContiTech AG’s Power Transmission Group is increasing its presence in North America.

The Hanover, Germany-based company is aiming to enhance its name recognition in both the do-it-yourself and do-it-for-me segments in the United States with timing belts, V-belts and multi-ribbed belts that are "built to original equipment specifications," according to the company.

“To boost our sales activities, we have intensified cooperation with our sales partners on a local level,” says Konrad Müller, the group's general manager.

In addition, a new image brochure focuses on the company's broad spectrum of operations as a development partner and manufacturer of drive belts and matched components, as well as belt drive systems. The brochure is divided into eight sections: materials technology, design and development, systems competence, production and planning, automotive aftermarket, industry and global presence.

The brochure can be downloaded at the company's Web site, www.contitech.de.
