Bridgestone reopens store in New Orleans

July 20, 2009

Bridgestone Retail Operations LLC (BSRO) has reopened a Firestone Complete Auto Care store in New Orleans, La., that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina four years ago.

Following Katrina, the store, located at 3500 Carrolton Street, "was forced to close its doors," according to BSRO officials.

The store's grand reopening took place on July 17 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that involved the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and other dignitaries. During the ceremony, representatives from the New Orleans Fire Department accepted a $500 donation from BSRO, which also donated $500 to a local children's hospital.
