Hemet, Calif.-based Ramona Tire & Service Centers has broken ground on what will be its 14th store, a 6,500-square-foot retail outlet in Palm Desert, Calif.
The nine-bay store represents an investment of $2 million and is scheduled to open in February 2010, says Chris Wyborny, Ramona Tire's vice president. "It's been a long time in the works."
Wyborny adds that Ramona Tire will open a 15th store sometime in late 2010.
The dealership carries Bridgestone, Continental, Hankook and Firestone brand tires. It is the 88th largest independent tire store chain on the 2009 Modern Tire Dealer 100, as seen in the July 2009 edition of MTD.
