Myers posts losses for second quarter

Myers Industries Inc., parent company of Myers Tire Supply Co., posted net sales of $173.2 million on a loss of $1.4 million for the second quarter vs. sales of $214.6 million on income of $2.9 million for the same period in 2008

"During the second quarter, the company announced that it is reviewing strategic options to better align certain businesses in its Auto and Custom Segment with long-term performance and growth strategies," said Myers officials in a recent statement.

"That review process continues with options under consideration ranging from further internal restructuring to the sale of certain businesses in the segment."
