Indy Tire raises funds with the Colts' Castonzo

June 25, 2013

Indy Tire Centers recently partnered with Anthony Castonzo, left offensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts, to launch the “Tossing for Tots” fundraising campaign.

The campaign is part of the company's Caps 4 a Cause program that will give back to Indiana's Riley Hospital for Children.

“Indy Tire has been a proud supporter of Riley for many years,” says Vice President Scott Monteith. “This is something that hits close to home for some of our employees and their children, and we are so blessed to have such a valuable resource like Riley here in Indianapolis.”

Indy Tire currently gives back to the children’s hospital at a corporate level, as well as through the company’s Caps 4 a Cause initiative -- a program that encourages the public to show its support for a local charity by purchasing brightly colored valve stem caps that represent a specific charity. The blue caps have been designated for Riley Hospital for Children.

“Riley is a leading children’s hospital, and we are more than eager to return each year and do what we can to raise money,” says Monteith. “We are excited to have the opportunity to take our fundraising campaign to the next level by teaming up with Anthony.”

Castonzo regularly supports Riley at various events such as the Miracle Ride and visits to patients at the hospital. “The kids are the focus, and I’m proud to team up with Indy Tire to help with their efforts,” says Castonzo.

Indy Tire and Castonzo kicked-off their partnership June 1 when they joined Indianapolis Colts safety Antoine Bethea at the annual Colts Skills Camp. Families at the camp had the opportunity to participate in the Indy Tire Tossing for Tots game and were also treated to a meet and greet with Castonzo. The public will be able to participate in the Tossing for Tots game as it travels to each of the company’s nine locations and local community events.

“We were excited to launch our campaign at Colts Skills Camp with two great NFL players, and can’t express enough appreciation to Antoine and the families who attended the camp for their generous donations.” says Monteith. “And we are proud to say that 100% of the proceeds go directly to Riley.”
