CEMB Buys M&B Engineering

July 16, 2019

CEMB S.p.A. will begin manufacturing tire changers following its acquisition of M&B Engineering SRL.

CEMB specializes in the design and manufacture of industrial balancing equipment for every type of application, including automotive alignment systems. M&B Engineering manufactures tire changers and wheel balancers.

At one time, CEMB designed and commercialized tire changers. At the beginning of the 1980s the company says it chose to focus on producing wheel balancers and wheel alignments and offered CEMB brand tire changers produced by third parties. The company says manufacturing tire changers is “a necessary step to achieve total quality and efficiency.”

Production of the new tire changers will be located at the M&B Engineering facility.

Both companies are based in Italy.

CEMB (Costruzioni Ellettro Meccaniche Buzzi) operates a sales, marketing and service subsidiary in the U.S., CEMB USA/BL Systems Inc., based in Gainesville, Ga.
