STS gives free inspections for Car Care Month

April 1, 2015

As part of National Car Care Month, Somerset Tire Service Inc. (STS) is offering complimentary 28-point tire and vehicle inspections throughout the month of April. The inspections include visually checking tires, brakes, headlights, fluid levels, the air filter and battery, belts, hoses and more.

"Extremely severe winter weather conditions and unrelenting snow gripped the northeast where all of our full-service car care centers are located," says STS President Bill Caulin. "We encourage our customers and neighbors to visit and have their cars inspected by our highly skilled technicians now that spring is finally here, before getting back out on the road. Our managers have reported a significant increase in steering, suspension, and tire and wheel damage.

"Dangerous potholes could possibly dislodge wheel weights, causing high-speed wheel shimmy or out-of-alignment conditions. These critical systems must be checked. Routine maintenance - especially after such treacherous weather - is truly the key to helping prevent expensive unanticipated repairs. National Car Care Month is a nationwide effort to focus motorists' attention on the importance of vehicle care and maintenance, and we are pleased to do our part to help spread the news."

There are 150+ employee-owned STS Tire & Auto Centers located in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. For additional information, please visit http://www.ststire.com.
