Interactive Vehicle Systems Diagrams Are Added to Walker Parts Catalog

Dec. 15, 2015

Tenneco Inc.’s Walker Emissions Control brand has added interactive diagrams of exhaust systems to its electronic parts catalog. The diagrams enable users to quickly access part-specific gallery pages featuring images, specifications, training videos and other information.

The application-specific system diagrams are available after the user has begun a part lookup by entering year/make/model, VIN, license plate number or part number. In addition to the www.walkerexhaust.com website, the new feature is available via the Walker mobile app for Android devices, iPhones and iPads.

The interactive diagrams are designed to help automotive parts professionals, service writers, technicians and other users more easily identify the right catalytic converter, muffler, resonator, pipe and other emissions control products for virtually any popular North American, European, or Asian passenger vehicle.

Tenneco says the user can click on any of the live links within each system diagram to access a part-specific rich-media gallery containing detailed information such as product specifications, installation instructions, technical tips, training videos and images. Images of many Walker catalytic converters include 360-degree viewing capability to help the user examine sensor port locations and other important design details.

“Our continuing investment in innovative research tools has helped Tenneco and the Walker brand connect with more customers, earlier in the repair process,” says Denise Hanefeld, marketing manager, North America Aftermarket, Tenneco.

“By supporting these professionals and consumers with world-class eCatalog tools and technical support, we are helping to ensure that Walker will be their number-one choice for emissions control repairs.”
