TBC buys 4 Buffalo Tire retail stores

Oct. 18, 2011

The TBC Retail Group recently purchased four Buffalo Tire and Automotive Service Centers in North Carolina. The two Charlotte stores will operate under the Tire Kingdom name; the two Jacksonville stores will operate under the Merchant’s Tire and Auto Centers brand.

“We will continue to meet the needs of the local communities with quality products and services at affordable prices all the while providing exceptional customer service,” says Orland Wolford, TBC Retail's CEO and president. “We are excited to bring Buffalo Tire associates into the TBC family.”

The acquisition increases the company-operated retail store location count to 829. The Buffalo Tires stores will be integrated into the TBC Retail Group, which also operates National Tire and Battery (NTB) outlets and more than 400 franchised Big O Tires retail tire stores.
