Bauer Built opens new Wisconsin outlet

Bauer Built Tire & Service Center opened its doors today in Manitowoc. Wis.

The dealership is the former Jansky's Tire Service. Most of the Janksy employees will stay with the new owners, with former owner Bill Janksy serving as a commercial tire salesman, the companies report.

Bill and Sharon Janksy owned the business for 20 years before selling to Bauer Built Inc., according to the Herald Times Reporter.

Bauer Built Inc. had 27 retail and commercial locations and is the 43rd largest U.S. independent tire store chain, according to the Modern Tire Dealer 100. The Durand, Wis.-based company was founded 65 years ago and has locations in the Midwest.
