TIA collects tiremakers' feedback on SEMA Show

Jan. 8, 2010

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is reporting continued progress on the solicitation of feedback from tire manufacturers concerning improvements to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

In a statement released earlier today, Jan. 8, TIA said that on Dec. 17, it hosted "a focus group which was attended by representatives from the top tire manufacturers. The meeting was very productive and TIA is currently working with these manufacturers to compile a list of recommendations and will reconvene later this month to discuss them.

"TIA will then present the recommendations to SEMA for their review and response. It is hoped that these recommendations can be implemented in time for this year's show. During the focus group, manufacturer representatives expressed their sincere appreciation for the efforts that TIA was making to address their concerns, and the fact that they assimilated such an impressive group to discuss such important topics. This may lead to further meetings on other topics of vital importance to the tire industry."

"TIA wants to show tire manufacturers that we are serious about gaining their input on how the SEMA Show can be made even better," says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield, "and we believe last month's focus group is a solid first step.

"The SEMA Show is a valuable resource for our industry. We look forward to making it an even better destination for exhibitors and attendees."
