Exhibitor list grows for Brityrex International

March 11, 2010

Exhibitors from across the aftermarket continue to sign up for October’s Brityrex International exhibition, with both familiar names and new brands "seeking to capitalize on sales opportunities from a post-recession tire and equipment marketplace," the organizers state.

The exhibition will take place Oct. 5 - 7 at Manchester Central (formerly known as G-Mex), in Manchester, England.

ECI International reports that among the latest names to be confirmed are battery specialist Manbat, Chinese tiremaker Guizhou Tyre Co and garage equipment supplier Snap-on Equipment.

Myles Pemberton, marketing manager with independent battery distributor Manbat, says, “We’ll be at Brityrex because we believe there is an enormous amount of potential for tire and fast fit retailers to improve their sales and their expertise in batteries. We can help dealers grow their business with good training and technical knowledge; it’s not just about shifting units.”

Snap-on Equipment will be returning to Brityrex and will displaying new Hofmann under-car products. General manager Chris Behan says he is confident that the trade is starting to invest in new equipment after a period of mend-and-make-do over the past 18 months or so.

“The name of the game has been to make existing equipment last as long as possible, and that has been borne out by huge increases in spare parts sales that we saw last year. The mood has now started to change and businesses are conscious that they need to invest to replace old equipment, but also to make sure they keep pace with OE tire and wheel technology that has continued to move on despite the recession."

Chinese tire manufacturer Guizhou Tyre Co. will be exhibiting its line of Advance brand tires, including OTR, agricultural and industrial.

Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI International says, "The breadth, range and diversity of exhibitors at this year’s show means that visitors will be able to meet potential new suppliers across almost every area of their business, from tires and retreading to IT, recycling, tools, equipment and consumables."
