Burggraf Tire acquires Oklahoma dealership

April 6, 2010

Quapaw, Okla.-based Burggraf Tire has acquired Clemence Tire, a single-location, retail/commercial tire dealership in Tecumseh, Okla. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The location will become Burggraf Tire's third distribution center and will provide daily delivery to Oklahoma City, says Ron Thrasher, Burggraf's executive vice president. "We're going to run three or four routes."

Burggraf has two other distribution centers, one in Atlanta, Texas, and another in Baxter Springs, Kan.

Previously family-owned, Clemence Tire has been in business for 25 years, says Thrasher, who adds that it will continue to operate under its current name. However, Burggraf Tire will remodel the outlet, including its facade, to give the store a more modern look.

"Business is booming," Thrasher reports. "We're substantially up over last year."
