Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has moved its San Antonio TDW (Tire Dealer’s Warehouse) branch to a larger, more accessible and technologically progressive location.
Operations are up and running in a 55,000-square-foot building located at the convenient Hwy 10 and Hwy 410 crossing, just a few miles from its previous location.
The new San Antonio TDW branch pairs a real-time warehouse RF (radio frequency) system with greater cube space for reliable inventory. It also has easier access for customer will calls. The eight dock warehouse also boasts an energy efficient motion activated lighting system.
“We always aim to exceed the expectations of our customer,” says Brian Robinson, TDW regional sales manager. “This new space will enable us to provide them with greater convenience and selection.”
In addition to moving to the new space, Hercules has increased its operations and sales staff to improve the overall customer experience, with a focus on the following:
* accelerated will call turnaround;
* more frequent, expedient deliveries; and
* additional routes.
Hercules Tire opened TDW in San Antonio in 1994, making it the company’s first operation in Texas. Since then, Hercules has added TDW locations in Dallas and Houston.
TDW San Antonio offers the full line of Hercules tires -- passenger, light truck, medium truck and specialty applications -- plus the Ironman private brand line of passenger, light truck and OTR/specialty tires. The location also offers 16 other popular brands, including Bridgestone, Firestone, Toyo, Yokohama, Nexen, Falken, Mickey Thompson, Solideal and Kumho.
The San Antonio branch is one of 13 TDW locations in the United States. They represent more than 1 million square feet of warehouse space.
“This year marks Hercules’ 60th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of TDW,” says Bill Trimarco, CEO and president and CEO. “We’re excited to mark the occasions with the opening of a facility that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing excellence to our customers.”
