Industry veteran Don Dominguez has died.
He was executive director of the Private Brands Tire Group (PBTG) for many years starting in 1995, where he worked to develop programs benefiting those involved with marketing private brand tire lines.
Following that he was marketing director for Import Associates in Clearwater, Fla., and a managing partner of Auto-Mate, an Internet business offering tires and automotive parts.
He was most recently a tire industry consultant for the Group Distribution Center.
Greg Smith, publisher of Modern Tire Dealer magazine, said, "Don supported and strengthened the presence of private brand tires in the aftermarket. Both private brand marketers and consumers owe him a debt of gratitude. As a longtime industry veteran, he will be missed by many of us."
