RMA: Expect more tire shipments in 2015
The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) expects total U.S. tire shipments to slightly exceed 311 million units in 2015. The RMA’s latest forecast represents a slight increase over 2014 total shipments.
Passenger, light truck and medium/heavy truck original equipment shipments are expected to increase in 2015. Passenger and light truck replacement tires are projected to slightly decrease while replacement medium/heavy truck tire shipments should increase.
