Trelleborg finalizes Watts Tyre Group acquisition

Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA, an Italy-based supplier of tires and complete wheels for agricultural and forestry machines, has acquired Watts Tyre Group, a UK-based manufacturer of tires and wheels for the material handling and forklift truck industry. The acquisition was finalized February 4.

The company says the acquisition strengthens Trelleborg’s position in industrial tires, through geographic expansion and an increased presence in the aftermarket.

Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA is a subsidiary of Trelleborg AB, a Sweden-based provider of polymer technology and applications.
