Bridgewater, N.J.-based Somerset Tire Service Inc. has opened a new distribution center in that city.
The 200,000-plus-square-foot facility stocks Somerset Tire's full range of tires and ships to four states. It brings the dealership's total number of distribution centers to seven.
Somerset Tire, which also operates 115 retail stores, carries Bridgestone, Firestone, Continental, Toyo, Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Falken and Runway brand consumer tires.
It is the fifth largest independent tire store chain in the U.S., according to the 2010 MTD 100.
