Continental will raise truck tire prices

Continental Tire the Americas LLC will raise prices on its Continental, General and Ameristeel brand medium truck tires up to 8%, effective Jan. 1, 2011.

The increase will apply to United States-only replacement tires, says a Continental spokesperson, who cites escalating raw material and energy costs as the reasons for the hike.
