American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has opened a 160,000-square-foot distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The facility is 40,000 square feet larger than ATD's previous location in the area. It features state-of-the-art racking for enhanced safety, "while LED lighting and backup-generated power demonstrates ATD’s continued commitment to sustainability," say company officials.
ATD hosted a ribbon-cutting event at the new distribution center on March 9.
“It is with great excitement that we had the opportunity to introduce our new distribution cnter to ATD associates, partners and friends in Salt Lake City,” said Stuart Schuette, ATD's president and CEO.
“We were in our old facility for nearly 20 years and with this new expansion, we are looking forward to many more years of involvement in the community.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by ATD executives and associates, as well as the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
