American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) and the Gary Sinise Foundation recently hosted a First Responder Appreciation Day in Charlotte, N.C.
The event includes a free buffet for the first 1,000 registrants, a "touch a truck" activity, a concert by Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band and other activities.
ATD officials say all proceeds raised during First Responder Appreciation Day will support the foundation and its programs that service veterans, first responders and their families.
Contributions from ATD, the Gary Sinise Foundation was able to award more than $100,000 in grants to several volunteer fire departments.
"At ATD, we have deep respect and appreciation for the commitment of our first responders," says ATD President and CEO Stuart Schuette. "This event provided us the opportunity to show our gratitude for their tireless dedication and to contribute to an organization that shares our values
