Hoonigan Names Waldron CEO
Hoonigan has hired former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. exec Ryan Waldron to help scale its automotive aftermarket and distribution business.
"Waldron was selected for his extensive leadership experience and strong track record driving operational, commercial and organizational excellence," say Hoonigan officials.
"He brings more than 20 years of executive leadership at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., most recently serving as president, Americas, where he led a 30,000-person organization responsible for $12 billion in revenue.
"During his tenure, he played a key role in driving record profitability in North Americas and helped launch TireHub, a joint venture in tire distribution. His prior appointments at Goodyear span senior leadership roles within supply chain, sales, operations, strategy and leading several businesses including consumer, aviation, off-the-road tires, Mickey Thompson, retail and chemical."
"Ryan is a proven leader with the experience and vision to guide Hoonigan into its next phase of growth,” says Dave Swift, interim CEO and chairman of Hoonigan's board. “His track record of building high-performing teams within this industry and delivering strong business results makes him the right choice to lead the company forward at this pivotal moment.”
"Hoonigan sits at the intersection of car culture, content and commerce in a way that’s truly unique,” says Waldron. “I’m excited to join a passionate team and build on that foundation to drive growth and scale across the business.”
As part of this transition, Swift will step away as interim CEO and continue in the role of Hoonigan's board chairman.
