Tire Group International LLC (TGI) turned its attention to its Cosmo brand, and specifically its Mud Kicker mud-terrain tire, at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
The Mud Kicker "was built for functionality and design,” says Joaquin Gonzalez, president of TGI.
The tire has large center tread blocks, open shoulder alternating/scalloping lugs and more. It also sports a three-ply sidewall, stone ejector ridges and customers can choose from two sidewall looks.
For a more “aggressive look,” the customer has the option of a raised, all black letter sidewall or a “sleek design” with indented lettering, says Gonzalez.
“The hardest part with consumers is telling them about this new product and letting them know that just because it’s a lower-tier tire on the pricing point doesn’t mean it’s a lower-tier tire in the performance point," he says.
