Two Tire Choice Auto Service Center locations in Florida sustained major damage as a result of Hurricane Ian, and Monro Inc. says those stores will remain closed until further notice.
Four other stores are closed temporarily due to power outages, though the power is expected to be restored by Oct. 7.
Monro says its remaining 102 stores in Florida are open and fully operational to help customers affected by the hurricane.
“We are profoundly thankful that our teammates in the path of Hurricane Ian are accounted for and safe,” said President and CEO Michael Broderick. “They did an amazing job taking care of themselves and their families, and in preparing our stores for the storm. Our thoughts are with all the people of Florida’s southwest coast during this difficult time.”
The Tire Choice stores on Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers and on Central Avenue in Naples suffered "significant damage from the storm’s high winds and flooding," Monro said.
These four stores will reopen once power is restored and the buildings are declared safe: two in Cape Coral, and one each in Port Charlotte and Venice.
Monro said all 160 of its Tire Choice and Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia are open and operational after the storm.
