Feb. 11, 2022

Sales of Cooper brand tires during 2021 contributed $2.1 billion to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s full-year results. Goodyear sold $963 million worth of Cooper brand tires during the fourth quarter of 2021.

In its full-year/fourth quarter 2021 financial results, released on Feb. 11, Goodyear said it "continues to expect substantial financial benefits" from its acquisition of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., which was finalized in June 2021.

This includes $250 million in "run-rate synergies by mid-2023, excluding one-time transaction costs and accounting adjustments. The majority of the cost synergies will be related to manufacturing efficiencies, revenue growth opportunities and developing efficient combined support organizations."
