Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. is adding to its reach in the Southwest with the acquisition of Martin Tire Co., an eight-store tire dealership with locations in New Mexico and Texas.
According to the Martin Tire Co. website, the company is a third-generation tire dealership that specializes in carrying a large inventory — 30,000 tires and 6,000 wheels. The tire inventory covers passenger and light truck, as well as commercial truck, farm and industrial tires.
Martin Tire Co.'s eight stores have 55 service bays.

The acquisition gives Sun Auto Service 237 total tire and service stores across New Mexico, Washington, Virginia, Texas, Arizona, California, Oklahoma and Nevada.
