Discount Tire Centers Wins Philanthropic Award

The California-based Discount Tire Centers is being honored for its philanthropic efforts.

The company will be honored during the 36th annual National Philanthropy Day awards program on Nov. 17. The awards are presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Orange County and the Orange County Business Journal.

Discount Tire Centers will be recognized with the Philanthropy Award for outstanding mid-sized  corporation or business (51-499 employees.

The tire dealership opened its doors in 1975. It was founded by Andy Andonian, and since then the company has grown to 34 locations. It's now loed by Andonian's son, Sergio Andonian.

“The company remains determined to give back and we will continue to dedicate much of our efforts to supporting our local and surrounding communities,” says President Sergio Andonian.
