Hyundai has selected the Kumho Crugen HP71 to be original equipment on its 2022 Santa Cruz model, which has been categorized by the auto manufacturer as a "sport adventure vehicle." Kumho Tire USA Inc. will supply the Crugen HP71 in size 245/60R18.
"Kumho’s Crugen series was developed in line with the emergence of urban SUVs and it has been recognized worldwide as an SUV-exclusive tire brand," say Kumho officials.
The tire "provides quick handling and performance due to its strong center and improved shoulder blocks."
Full-depth sipes and wide circumferential grooves provide optimal wet weather traction.
"Variable pitch technology also boosts" fuel efficiency and offers "exceptional noise reduction."
The Kumho Crugen HP71 is manufactured at the tiremaker's Macon, Ga., plant.
