Nokian Achieves First-Half Sales Gains

Aug. 3, 2021

Nokian Tyres plc achieved a 37.7% increase in net sales during the first half of the year as "tire demand continued strong in the second quarter," according to Nokian President and CEO Jukka Moisio.

Growth "was particularly strong" in Russia. (Nokian's plant in Russia is operating at full capacity.)

The company is boosting production at its passenger tire plant in Finland by 30% and its U.S. plant recently switched to 24/7 production.

"In 2021, our focus will remain on growth and cash flow," says Moisio.

"New products and continuous improvements in go-to-market activities will help us build an even stronger foothold in our core markets."
