The New England Tire and Service Association (NETSA) has announced Tony DeSimone is retiring as the executive director of NETSA and will be replaced by Katie Maguire.
Maguire has been a longtime NETSA member, acting as a board member, secretary and president. She also spent time at Mohawk Rubber Sales.
“Katie’s industry experience, knowledge of NETSA and vision for the future of NETSA makes her the ideal choice,” says Rich Tuttle, vice president of NETSA and headed the Executive Director Search Committee.
NETSA says DeSimone was active in keeping the board and membership aware of pending legislation throughout New England states and he received the Industry Achievement Award from the Tire Industry Association (TIA) in 2019 and again in 2021.
TIA also recognized him with the Excellence in Automotive Leadership Award in 2023.
Maguire will transition with DeSimone until Dec. 31, 2023, at which she will assume full responsibility.
