Scott Monteith Retires From Best-One of Indy

Jan. 9, 2024

Scott Monteith, one of the founding partners of the business now known as Best-One of Indy, has retired as of Jan. 1, 2024.

Monteith, a founder and company vice president, partnered in 1986 with Paul Zurcher, Ray Monteith, Ross Kubacki and Dennis Dickson to form Indy Truck Tire Center, which from day one was a partner of the Best-One organization.

The company has grown to 15 locations and stretches beyond the greater Indianapolis area. Best-One of Indy says Monteith's "impact will be greatly missed." His role will be filled by Nick Howe and Chris Fox.

“Our father, Paul Zurcher, had the privilege of working closely with Scott for many years, and we have seen firsthand his passion for serving people,” said Larry and Mark Zurcher, co-CEOs for Best-One Corp. “On behalf of Best-One and the Zurcher family, we thank Scott for his dedication, leadership and contributions to our organization and the industry.”

In 2022 Monteith was honored by the Best-One organization with the Paul Zurcher Legacy Award. He and his wife Lisa live in Indianapolis, and throughout his career Monteith was active in a number of local organizations, including serving as a board member and campaign chairman for the Ransburg YMCA, House Corporation of Delta Tau Delta at DePauw University, and deacon and trustee at Southport Presbyterian Church.
