VIP Tires & Service has reopened its stores in Portland and Augusta, Maine. Both outlets replace previous VIP Tires & Service locations.
The Portland store replaces a location in that city that closed last August. The building that houses the new store "was gutted and updated with all new mechanical, new electric, etc.," say VIP Tires & Service officials. "Everything was replaced," including the store's main entrance, customer service area, shop equipment and more.
The 5,000-square-foot store has seven service bays and is managed by Brandon Tuttle, who oversees nine employees.
VIP Tires & Service's new Augusta location is housed in a 7,000-square-foot building "featuring a spacious customer lounge and service area, restrooms, (an) employee break room, eight oversized repair bays and a large tire storage warehouse."
The Augusta outlet is managed by Chris Myshrall and employs nine people.
"These new locations allow us to better servce our customers in Portaldn and Augusta with improved layouts, more space and state-of-the-art equipment," says Tim Winkeler, president and CEO of VIP Tires & Service, which is based in Auburn, Maine.
VIP Tires & Service is one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the United States, according to MTD data.
