Sun Auto Tire Goes to Tennessee
Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. has entered the Tennessee market via the recent acquisition of Barrett's Tire, which is located in Dover, Tenn.
Established in 1951, Barrett's Tire is "well-known in Stewart County (Tenn.) for providing top-tier automotive and tire service," say Sun Tire & Auto Service officials. "Although the acquisition of Barrett’s Tire is Sun Auto’s first entry into Tennessee, the facility is located near existing Sun Auto Tire & Service Network locations operating as Plaza Tire Service in southwest Kentucky."
Sun Auto Tire & Service also has acquired Miller's OK Tire in Columbus, Miss. "Founded in 1961, Miller’s has served the Golden Triangle region with professionalism and trustworthy auto repair and will continue to offer exceptional service as part of the Sun Auto Tire & Service network."
“We’re excited to welcome Barrett’s Tire and Miller’s OK Tire Store into the Sun Auto Tire & Service Network”, says Sun Auto Tire & Service Chief Operations Officer Chris Ripani.
“These acquisitions reflect our continued focus on entering strategic markets where we see strong demand and long-term growth potential. Expanding into Tennessee and deepening our presence in Mississippi allows us to deliver the same trusted, local service guests expect, now backed by the national resources and commitment that define the Sun Auto brand.”
Headquartered in Mesa, Ariz., Sun Auto Tire & Service has more than 500 locations, making it one of the 10 largest independent tire dealerships in the United States, according to the recently published MTD 100.
