Telle Tire Continues Expansion

Webster Groves, Mo.-based Telle Tire & Auto Centers has acquired Burnett Automotive, which is based in Manhattan, Kan.

Burnett Automotive was founded in 1964 and has nine stores that serve the Manhattan and Kansas City markets.

The company is "known for its exceptional customer seervice, integrity and dedication to quality," according to Telle Tire & Auto Centers officials.

Owners Brian Coonrod and Conrad Knipp will assume "key leadership roles within the Telle organization, bringing their extensive industry experience and customer-cenrtic approach."

Telle Tire & Auto Centers entered the Kansas City market in 2020 via its purchase of KC Complete.

With the addition of Burnett Automotive, Telle Tire & Auto Centers now operates 19 locations throughout the Kansas City and Kansas markets.

"We've been impressed by Burnett Automotive since entering the Kansas City market back in 2020," says Aaron Telle, CEO of Telle Tire & Auto Centers. "This acquisition aligns with our strategic growth plans and allows us to better serve our customers across the region."

With 53 locations, Telle Tire & Auto Centers is one of the largest tire dealerships in the United States, according to the 2025 MTD 100.

The dealership will retain all of Burnett Automotive's 130 associates.
