API Launches Pegasus Line

American Pacific Industries Inc. (API) has launched its new Pegasus line, which features six tires for a wide range of applications.

"This program introduces a full range of Pegasus-branded tires with proprietary tread designs that meet the demands of diverse driving environments - from smooth highways to rugged off-road terrains," say API officials. Tires in the Pegasus line include:

• The HPX Sport AS, "performance tires engineered for all-season traction, precision handling, stability and speed. These tires provide exceptional grip and responsiveness for drivers who demand top performance on the road," featuring "wide coverage offering 65 sizes from 17- to 26-inch fitments;"
• The Tour AS, "touring tires built for comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency," providing  "smooth, confident rides for everyday commuting and long-distance travel." The Tour AS is available in 23 sizes;
• HTX AS, "highway all-season tires designed for today’s CUVs, SUVs and light trucks," delivering "year-round performance with a balance of durability, traction and comfort, rready for every season and every road" and available in 32 metric and LT sizes, fitting wheels ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches in diameter;
• ATX 4S, which is "a versatile all-terrain tire that balances aggressive good looks combined with on-road manners. Engineered for confident dry and wet traction and light snow performance" with 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification, the ATX 4S is offered in 40 sizes in metric and LT fitments, fitting wheels up to 20 inches in diameter;
• RTX, a rugged-terrain line that provides "a perfect balance between all-terrain versatility and mud-terrain toughness," providing "off-road grip with dependable on-road manners." The RTX is available in 26 LT sizes, fitting rims ranging from 17 inches to 24 inches in diameter.
• MTX, which has been "built to conquer the toughest landscapes," offering a blend of "aggressive traction, reinforced durability and reliability in extreme off-road conditions." The MTX covers "a wide variety of vehicle fitments with 29 LT sizes."
