Sun Now Has 550-Plus Locations

Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. recently surpassed the 550-store mark with the opening of a new Delta World Tire store and another acquisition.

The new Delta World Tire outlet is in Baton Rouge, La., and offers a full range of tire and auto service. (Sun Auto Tire & Service acquired Delta World Tire in 2021.)

Sun Auto Tire & Service has also acquired Liberty Tire & Auto, which is based in Liberty, N.C.

The dealership "has earned a strong local reputation for straightforward recommendations, friendly service and a customer-first approach," say Sun Auto Tire & Service officials.

"A trusted provider in central North Carolina, Liberty supports a wide range of automotive needs, from routine maintenance to more complex repairs. The acquisition strengthens Sun Auto’s presence in the region."

Based in Mesa, Ariz., and backed by Leonard Green & Partners, Sun Auto Tire & Service is one of the largest tire dealerships in the United States, according to the 2025 MTD 100.
