Sun Adds Plaza Tire Store in Illinois

Sun Auto Tire & Service Network Inc. has opened a new Plaza Tire Service store in Belleville, Ill.

"The new store adds to Plaza Tire Service’s growing network of more than 80 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas and neighboring communities," says Sun Auto Tire & Service officials.

"By increasing the number of locations within driving distance of one another, the company is able to serve drivers more efficiently, support its teams with shared resources and technician expertise, and ensure consistent service availability across the region."

Sun Auto Tire & Service, which is based in Mesa, Ariz., and is owned by private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners, acquired Plaza Tire Service in 2021.

Sun Auto Tire & Service has more than 500 locations, making it one of the five largest tire dealerships on the 2025 MTD 100.
