Hankook Expands on Winter Portfolio

Hankook Tire America Corp. is growing its winter product portfolio by launching the new Winter i*cept evo 4.

Hankook Tire America Corp. is growing its winter product portfolio by launching the new Winter i*cept evo 4.

Engineered for sedans and SUVs, the new tire expands on the company's winter lineup and is centered around key features, including winter safety and fuel efficiency, wet and snow traction, lower rolling resistance and longer mileage.

“Drivers need tires that provide dependable control throughout the winter season,” says KC Jensen, vice president of PC/LT sales. “The Winter i*cept evo 4 combines stronger snow traction, enhanced wet braking and improved efficiency to help drivers navigate changing winter road conditions with 
confidence.”

Featuring Hankook's Alpine winter technology, the tire provides improvements in traction, efficiency and tire longevity. The new product also offers 5% improved snow grip compared to the previous model, optimized wet-road control and better fuel efficiency, according to officials.

The Winter i*cept evo 4 and Winter i*cept evo 4 SUV are available for tire dealers to order in 37 SKUs and 45 SKUs. The Winter i*cept evo 4 is backed by Hankook’s SureTire Plan and offers a 30,000-mile treadwear warranty, a 30-day free trial for customers and road hazard protection.

The company's winter portfolio also includes the Winter i*cept iZ3, tailored for passenger cars, the Winter i*cept iZ3 X for SUVs and crossovers, the Winter i*Pike RS2, a studded winter tire designed for passenger cars and the Winter i*Pike X for SUVs, crossovers and light trucks. All winter tires include the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake rating.
