Dunlop Tires Introduces Winter Maxx Line

Dunlop Tires North America (DTNA) has unveiled the studless Winter Maxx WM02 and Winter Maxx SJ8 for enhanced winter performance for passenger cars, CUVs, SUVs and light trucks.

Dunlop Tires North America (DTNA) has unveiled the studless Winter Maxx WM02 and Winter Maxx SJ8 for enhanced winter performance for passenger cars, CUVs, SUVs and light trucks.

Designed with an asymmetric tread pattern, tread blocks and other features that improve traction and grip on snow and ice, the Winter Maxx WM02 is designed to provide dependable performance for a variety of passenger vehicles and small crossovers. Fitments include the Acura Integra, Audi A6, BMW 2-Series and other makes and models.

Dunlop's Winter Maxx SJ8, a winter studless tire, features a "Nano-Fit silica rubber compound that stays flexible in cold, icy conditions for consistent grip." The tire is also designed with 3D sipes that improve traction on icy surfaces and improve wet-weather and dry performance, according to Dunlop officials.

The Winter Maxx SJ8, created for CUVs, SUVs and light trucks, also includes a "directional tread pattern with T-shaped grooves" for strong snow grip and expeling water. The tire also offers reduced noise, enhanced stability and ride comfort.

Both the Winter Maxx WM02 and Winter Maxx SJ8 are backed by Dunlop's Maxx Warranty, which includes a seven-year warranty, a 50,000-mile (80,000 kilometers) limited tread life warranty, road hazard protection, a 90-day free trial and roadside assistance.
